A whole month of top-quality races!

The Meeting de Deauville Lucien Barrière is an international racing event held throughout the month of August. Boasting a top-notch summer programme, with no fewer than 19 group races and one group race for purebred Arabs held over 18 race days (including 2 evening race meetings), the 2012 Meeting de Deauville Lucien Barrière provided Deauville’s holidaymakers with a frisson of excitement in between trips to the beach.

Summer is a time for relaxation, so France Galop invited racegoers to take advantage of the laid-back atmosphere and get to know racing’s biggest stars in our convivial meet-and-greet area. An array of outstanding entertainment activities were also served up, including our special race simulator, giving our visitors an insight into the fascinating world of horse racing!
