The event’s festive and convivial atmosphere was punctuated with original entertainment activities for visitors to enjoy between races.
Auteuil racecourse is the ideal place to get a feel for this spectacular discipline, and racegoers flocked to the outskirts of the French capital to witness this thrilling sporting event, a true celebration of horses and jumps racing!

In the stirrups of a top jockey

During the 2012 edition of the WEIO, we gave racegoers the opportunity to experience the thrill of a race as if they were taking part! Thanks to our race simulator, spectators felt the adrenaline rush of a top jockey as the horses launched out of the starting gates at speeds of over 40 mph! This unique game allowed visitors to get right to the heart of this exceptional discipline as they thundered around our virtual track, discovering the beauty of this peerless sport and finally understanding why horses and jockeys are prepared to push themselves to the limit in order to experience such intense emotion.

48 hours of pure adrenaline at the temple of jumps racing!

Numerous different entertainment activities gave our younger visitors a taste for all things equestrian, with a merry-go-round, pony rides and even guided tours around the jumps! Real life experiences that are sure to have ignited their dream of one day becoming a jockey themselves...

Craftsmen and women such as top hat specialist Graham McCartney, painter Mme Simonne l’Hermitte and Parisian hat-maker La Maison Sophie Papiernik also came along to display their stunning creations.

A fantastic event that left racegoers champing at the bit to attend the 2013 edition!
